The Rekah group of companies is a prominent part of Israel's Healthcare industry. Founded in 1940 in pre-statehood Israel as a drug manufacturing cooperative, Rekah Ltd. was one of the pioneers of this industry located in Holon, near Tel-Aviv.
Over the years, it has become an important provider of pharmaceutical products to the local market.
In 1993 Rekah Ltd. was bought from its original owners and reincorporated as a private company, Rekah Pharmaceutical Industry Ltd
Under the new management, the company was restructured to become a more comprehensive Healthcare business, vertically as well as horizontally.
Under the roof of Rekah, other companies, Ophir-Shalpharm, Madad, Center-Pharm and Pharmaclinic and Rite, were included. Thus, Rekah, aside from enlarging its line of products, became also involved in importing, marketing and distributing pharmaceutical products and
